The shades of yellow of the labrador’s coat

Let’s take a closer look at all the possible shades of the yellow coat of the Labrador, to distinguish them from the Foxred or the “fox red” coat.

White Labrador

“Very light yellow” coat color. Some might call it “white”, which is incorrect. Hers is still a yellow, just a very pale yellow.

“Light” Yellow Labrador

“Light yellow” coat color. Although the body is light yellow, the ears and tip of the tail have darker shading.

“Medium” Yellow Labrador

“Medium yellow” coat color. Not as light as the one above, but not very dark.

“Dark” Yellow Labrador

“Dark yellow” coat color. It is not a foxred, but certainly darker than the average yellow color.
